Nov 04, 2020     6W10 - Bell Crank question - (2 hours)       Category: Wings
Another question to Roger:

Quick question on the bell crank again. It's divots on the rib-side looks like were put there in order to give it more swing. However it doesn't seem to match quite up with the lightning holes. I've seen some pretty wide variances of what folks actually put here for a bellcrank (torque tubes and RV bell-crank boomerang style, etc), so I gather this is pretty minor. Or does it mean I screwed up the alignment?

I was thinking if it really needed the slight extra swing I could grind out the divots just a wee bit. Thoughts?

Answer:
I don't think you will even go that far on your deflections. I would file the corner off on each side.
